How much does home internet cost per month?

Typical US plans run from roughly $40 to $100 a month before fees, with entry cable and DSL at the low end and gigabit fiber toward the top. The advertised price is rarely the real one: equipment rental, one-time install, and post-promo increases can add $15-$40 a month. Fiber plans with a price lock and no equipment fee often end up cheaper over two years than a lower cable teaser rate.
