Why does upload speed matter for working from home?

Video calls, screen sharing, cloud backups, and sending large files all depend on upload, and that is exactly where cable plans are weakest. A cable plan advertised at 500 Mbps down might upload at only 20 Mbps, enough to stutter a call when someone else uploads too. Fiber's symmetrical speeds remove that bottleneck, which is why it is the strongest choice for remote work.
